02/16/25 Western Rwanda Class

Last week, Fidele Shinga, GBTF African Director, taught a class in Western Rwanda.  This was a special class because it the was the final course for the 75 students.  They have now completed our entire Global Baptist Training Foundation curriculum and are ready to graduate.  

The pastors in Western Rwanda all contributed to build a sleeping facility for pastors traveling long distances for GBTF classes.  Make sure you watch the video of this dormitory below.  

This class was mostly pastors but also included pastors’ wives and other church leaders who need training.  This class had a time of revival as Fidele taught.  Many were convinced of things they had been doing that were not being done in a Godly manner.  Even in a theology class, the Word of God does its job every time!   

Singing is a vital part of our GBTF classes because Africans love music.  They often sing at break time in the afternoon to stay alert. A full stomach, warm climate, and intense mental concentration can make you really tired!    They usually sing on the day they receive their completion certificates out of our joy and accomplishment!  Watch videos of their singing below!  Fidele is an amazing leader of worship and music!

We are very excited to travel to Rwanda this week and be present for the graduation in Western Rwanda on Sunday afternoon, February 23.  On Tuesday, February 25, we will attend TWO graduation ceremonies in Burundi. Altogether, about 200 will graduate next week. To God be the Glory as GBTF continues to train nationals who go on to train other nationals, plant new churches, and reach their nations with the gospel.   Watch for updates of these three graduations in the coming days.
