04/28/25 Liberia!!!
Global Baptist Training Foundation has been training national pastors and church leaders in Liberia for many years. In 2017, when GBTF began training large groups of pastors, one of the goals we set was to start 500 new churches in Liberia. This was a God-size goal! Millions of dollars had previously been sent to put a mosque in every town or village with more than 100 people. The goal was to Islamicize the country. Rejoice with us that God has used GBTF-trained pastors to meet our goal of starting over 500 Bible-preaching local churches!

We just received a report from Pastor Philip Willie, our GBTF West Africa Director Thus far, GBTF pastors have started 503 new churches. In the first quarter of 2025, those churches saw about 3,000 people come to faith in Christ with about 3,000 being baptized to publicly declare their faith!

Recently, several GBTF church plants gathered together to celebrate the resurrection! What a joy to see Liberia being evangelized, discipled, and churches growing and winning their communities for Christ. GBTF is not stopping at the borders of Liberia! We have several church plants in Guinea, started by Liberian GBTF-trainees. Our building partner has built a building for one of the Guinea churches. Liberians are also expanding training into countries such as Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Ghana, and more. Look for great things in Western Africa through Global Baptist Training Foundation.
