Pastor Brasswell Nkhonjrra, Global Baptist Training Foundation South Africa Director, recently traveled from his home country of Malawi to neighboring Tanzania to teach a large class of pastors and church leaders in Kyela. You’ll have to look at a map of Africa to see why Brasswell was closer than our Tanzanian trainers to this remote Tanzanian location. The cost of this training is pennies on the dollar when compared to any other method of providing Bible college level training. The results? Well, they speak for themselves. To date: thousands of pastors and church leaders trained, over 1,500 new churches started, tens of thousands coming to faith in Christ and being baptized. We pray that this Kyela group will continue to multiply the training they are receiving, and may some of these pastors go on to become GBTF trainers!

By far the greatest reflection of this training is the number of churches being planted by GBTF-trained pastors. What is better than starting a brand new Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church in an area that previously had no gospel witness? Starting a new Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church that has a pastor trained in solid Biblical theology! These pastors are not only winning thousands to Christ but are then baptizing them, teaching them what they have learned, and seeing new believers reproduce themselves in the lives of others! This is intentional multiplication on so many levels!
Pastor Naboth Atusasire, GBTF East Africa Director starts churches, trains pastors and church leaders, and travels extensively for GBTF visiting church plants, delivering GBTF-provided phones needed for communication and reporting, and he talks to people about Jesus everywhere he goes! Naboth and Ntare Rodgers, GBTF African IT Director, travelled about 1,500 kilometers on a GBTF-funded trip to visit remote church planters who have been trained by GBTF. They delivered phones, taught them how to use the phones, and trained them in using the GBTF application built and created by Ntare!! Your quarterly reports will be by far the most accurate in coming months due to this groundwork!
Naboth recently delivered the Bibles purchased by GBTF partners all over Uganda. Look for more pictures of Bible distribution soon from all over Africa!
