06/21/24 GBTF Training in Ethiopia, Uganda
At one time, Global Baptist Training Foundation celebrated when we reached 10 classes per year around the world. With the exponential multiplication of training nationals to train nationals, we now have at least that many classes per month!!!! Here are just two classes from this week!
Pastor Gilbert Okecha has just completed a class in Obongi, Uganda, with more than a dozen pastors completing the week-long courses. Gilbert has proven himself a dedicated and gifted trainer who is tenacious, traveling by motor bike, bus, and even on foot. We are thrilled that GBTF donors recently helped us upgrade Gilbert’s vehicle to accommodate his travel.
Fidele Shinga, our African Director, is an exciting trainer who is continually opening new nations with classes. We look forward to graduating many of these pastors and church leaders in the next few months.
This week, Fidele taught two courses in Ethiopia with 44 completing the classes.
Fidele traveled by plane, car, bike, and even horse carriage for this recent class in Ethiopia.
We are thankful for faithful donors who helped us upgrade Fidele’s vehicle as well. He lives about three hours from the airport in Kigali, Rwanda, through curvy and mountainous roads. His vehicle is an essential tool for travel throughout all of Africa.
We have other classes that we will highlight in coming updates. We would like to request prayer for one of our graduates who is a trainer in Liberia. Moses Lakpor is scheduled to begin a class this coming Monday, but he has been very sick. We told him we would ask our GBTF family to pray for his healing.
Thank you for your faithful giving that finances all of the work of training nationals around the world. Together, we are able to provide our trainers with equipment and financing to accomplish all that we are seeing done in training pastors and church leaders, planting churches, evangelizing and baptizing, and even building buildings for new churches.
