07/09/24 Youth Training in Liberia
We often use the little boy with the loaves and fishes as an example of what God has done through Global Baptist Training Foundation. From our original vision of training nationals and our surrender to this ministry, God has consistently done far more than we could have dreamed!
The most recent example of this is a young man named Timothy in Liberia. Timothy is the son of our West Africa Director, Phillip Wille. So Timothy has been around GBTF for many years.
His first burden was to start a movie team to take The Jesus Film into areas where there is no gospel witness. He has recruited two others to help with this part of his ministry. All we do is provide equipment and limited finances to fund these trips. As we’ve reported previously, many people have come to faith in Christ through Timothy’s movie team. Churches are being planted in these areas as we speak.
Timothy also has a burden for the young people of Liberia. This is a brand new branch of ministry for GBTF – reaching and training the future church leaders!
Timothy has just completed an evangelism and training class for young people. 69 attended this class on Soteriology (the doctrine of salvation)! Most of this 69 were young people. 20 of the attendees actually came to faith in Christ. 20 young people!!! This is the future. We are thankful for the vision Timothy has, and we are thankful he is a GBTF partner in Liberia!
You can support this effort to reach the young people of Liberia at www.globaltrain.org. We have a feeling Timothy’s vision will spread across Africa!!
