10/18/24 More Signs of Growth
There was a time when we held 8-10 Global Baptist Training Foundation classes per year and were overjoyed. Now we have that many classes in a month. Pictured here are just two current classes: Western Rwanda and Kyela, Tanzania. The Western Rwanda class is taught by Pastor Francois, the brother of Fidele Shinga! This class has 78 in attendance. The Kyela class had about 83 in attendance and was taught by Pastor Hezron, Tanzania Coordinator for GBTF.
All of this growth has necessitated growth in our organizational structure. Help us welcome Natre Rodgers, our new African IT Director. Ntare has recently developed a very sophisticated and impressive app for all of our trainers and church planters to use. Ntare has an incredible testimony which will be featured in Bruce’s new book focused on individual national leaders with GBTF!
Our East Africa Director, Naboth Atusasire, recently saw a group of inmates working in the banana fields. He asked for permission to speak to them, and it was granted. Naboth has amazing respect in all of Western Uganda. 22 inmates trusted Christ that day. Naboth said they “returned to their physical jail but were freed from their sins!”
As we near the end of the year, please consider Global Baptist Training Foundation in your giving! GBTF feels the financial strain, not only from increased prices in everything from office supplies to plane tickets, but from the rapidly growing payroll of nationals. The needs include: salaries, vehicles and motorcycles, travel expenses, and class expenses. You can donate online at www.globaltrain.org or save the online fees by mailing larger amounts to GBTF, PO 560723, Rockledge, FL. 32956.
We are thrilled to see God’s great work around the world, especially in Africa, as nationals train nationals.
