10/21/2021 Uganda Class and the Importance of National Hosts
Ugandan pastors are nearing the end of a week in which they will complete two classes – Pastoral Administration taught by Dr. Larry Bazer and Acts taught by Dr. Bruce Snavely. This has been another big step forward for a group of pastors who have previously had little to no ability to study the Scriptures in depth. They have worked hard and enjoyed the training and the fellowship in this nation known as “The Pearl of Africa” and appear to be encouraged about being able to get out and be in class. The lockdowns have been even more difficult in developing nations
In order to have a successful week, Global Baptist Training Foundation relies on a national host in each nation. That host insures the meeting place is ready, the course notes are translated and copied for each class participant, sending out class dates across the entire country, accurate records are kept on all who attend and complete each course, and so many more details.
God has blessed us with a network of amazing national hosts. In Uganda, our host is Pastor Naboth. Pastor Naboth has been struggling with health issues, but that did not deter him from helping GBTF have another amazing week.
Even after a long day of classes, the pastors always gather for a nightly devotion and worship time. In this video, they are singing “When He Calls, I Will Answer, When He Calls Me, I Will Go!”
