12/19/23 Drop a Pebble in the Water
James Foley wrote, “Drop a pebble in the water: just a splash, and it is gone; But there’s half-a-hundred ripples circling on and on and on, Spreading, spreading from the center, flowing out to the sea. And there is no way of telling where the end is going to be!”
When we first founded Global Baptist Training Foundation in 2011, we dropped that pebble in the water of training nationals. Now in 19 countries around the world with tens of thousands of national pastors and church leaders planned, hundreds of churches planted, thousands of people saved and baptized, and dozens of national trainers trained. The ripples spreading, spreading continue to leave us in awe of God’s plan and His blessings.
Today, we heard from Fragley Motor in Liberia. He has two classes set up to begin in January in two separate locations with a total of 90 pastors and church leaders registered to receive GBTF training. Peter Nehn and another pastor had 39 in a class in Mehnia Town in Nimba County, Libera, last week. Two of Bruce’s students became the instructors.
Pastor Naboth, as well as Gilbert Ochecka, in Uganda continue to pour their lives into training others, planting churches in villages, and following up on that village ministry. Here is Pastor Naboth’s most recent class that ended just last Friday.
These ripples grow larger and wider. We pray that God will bless each trainer and that those trained will themselves become trainers of thousands!
Pastor Naboth needs $2000 to buy land for a church in one of the villages. Maybe God will touch your heart to meet this need as a Christmas gift to the work God is doing in Africa!! The pebble of that gift will ripple on and on!
Merry Christmas from Global Baptist Training Foundation!
