02/28/24 Uganda Doesn’t Disappoint
Bruce is on his way back home from a 10-day trip to Uganda. His mission: to train Global Baptist Training Foundation national trainers. Mission: accomplished!
In all, this training segment saw nine national trainers (two from Sudan and seven from Uganda) receive further and deeper training as well as equipment and materials to make them more effective as they spread across Uganda and Sudan to train even more national church leaders.
The GBTF Director for Uganda is Pastor Autusasire Naboth. In addition to training other national pastors and church leaders, Naboth works diligently at planting churches among the villages of Uganda. One of his most recent church plants has had amazing results in reaching people for Christ. They have been meeting in such a small space that they hold services on Saturday night AND Sunday morning, and they still cannot fit everyone in! Bruce was privileged to preach in both services this weekend.
Naboth had asked for prayer to purchase two tents for a temporary meeting place. We are thrilled to announce that has God provided those tents through some amazing GBTF partners, but they have also provided the funding to build the new building.
Another GBTF donor had helped Naboth purchase the land. Now the building has already begun just days after receiving the initial funds for the foundation of the building. The trainers gathered to thank God for touching the hearts of those who have made this new building possible.
The excitement is palpable! Bruce and Grace will travel to Uganda in August for the dedication of this church building. Naboth also has a school that has over 500 students, and Bruce was able to speak to these students on Friday. This is another great impact point for the future of Uganda.
