03/02/24 Mozambique Class a Success in Hot Season

Fidele Shinga, East Africa Director for Global Baptist Training Foundation, recently had our first-ever class in Portuguese-speaking Mozambique!  The class turned out to be scheduled in this country’s hot season.  This hindered several pastors from attending. Even with this, we had nearly 40 who completed the course attendance and other requirements.   The next class will be scheduled when it is a bit cooler.  The video shows Fidele teaching and the class participants fanning themselves!!  We have shared some pictures of individual pastors because we never want to forget that GBTF is all about individuals.  Even now as the numbers are beginning to be larger than we could have imagined ten years ago, each individual pastor and church leader who attends GBTF classes is vital to God’s work. 

Mozambique will open the door to Angola and four other Portuguese-speaking countries.  We look forward to having our first Portuguese-speaking trainer in the next couple of years and many more after that!!!
