09/28/24 Kenya Graduation

We are rejoicing with our Kenyan graduates as they complete our entire Global Baptist Training Foundation curriculum of 14 college-level courses.    This is a lot of work under any circumstances.  But most of these pastors and church leaders are bi-vocational. They leave church, home, family, and usually fields to travel and study these week-long modules over a period of about 2 1/2 years.  In addition to the intensive training session, they also have tests and other course requirements to accomplish.  They take home ALL the course materials in their language(s) so they can train their churches and others as well.   Well done, Kenyan graduates, well done!

Our new GBTF East Africa Director, Naboth Atusasire, flew from Uganda to meet our GBTF Kenyan trainers and to attend their graduation ceremony.

Fidele Shinga, our GBTF African Director taught most of the courses.   These graduations, for many GBTF students, may be the only formal graduation ceremony of their lives.  Many family and friends attended. We were thrilled to take handmade crosses from women Grace’s Florida Bible Study group to the families of the graduates.

Pray for these graduates as they go out to train others, win their towns and villages to Christ, disciple new converts, and plant churches. Training the nationals is the true New Testament method of evangelism!  This is a small army going out into Kenya equipped theologically and practically.

Thanks to all GBTF donors who pay the cost of training nationals to train nations around the world!   24 nations, over 1,000 church plants, tens of thousands of people placing faith in Christ,  and 2 buildings built.  So much more to come!  Watch for another graduation in Malawi next week!!
