01/17/25 A Great Start to 2025
We are thrilled to report that in the past two weeks, Global Baptist Training Foundation held five classes in 5 countries: Rwanda, Liberia, Tanzania, Burundi, and Congo. Hundreds of pastors have added to their course of training while working toward graduation. What a joy!
In Liberia, Shinga Fidele, GBTF African Director, taught a class on Eschatology with 140 students. Dr. Bruce had to cancel at the last minute due to illness (he’s doing much better now), but Fidele was able to carry on with no hesitation! Nationals training nationals!
One of the joys of GBTF is the ability to see the strong connections form between those who otherwise would not know one another until Heaven. Fidele had great fellowship with James Togba, GBTF Field Marketing Director and Ex-Officio Board Member, and his sweet wife, Lydia, and their family! They had pizza in Liberia!
In Burundi, a class of 69 was taught by Gerard, GBTF Burundi Coordinator and GBTF Regional Trainer Diomede. Burundi has an exciting year ahead. Next month we will hold two graduations in Burundi with a total of 225 graduates. They are also expanding from the current 3 training centers to 5 spread throughput the country by years’s end!! Nationals training nationals!
Francois, GBTF Regional Trainer, taught a class of 79 in Western Rwanda. The group got so large that they moved outside the church building! This is so exciting because this is an entirely new group of pastors AND Francois is Fidele’s brother. How exciting to see them able to work together! Nationals training nationals!
Hezron, GBTF Tanzania Coordinator, taught a class of 14 in Dar Es Salaam. GBTF in Tanzania is spreading rapidly with classes large and small throughout the country! Nationals training nationals!
Jackson, GBTF Coordinator for the Democratic Republic of Congo taught a class in Kinshasa this past week and will have another class next week in another location. We will update you with pictures and stories from these classes soon!
We are praising God for this rapid multiplication. This means more church plants spreading the gospel to more and more towns and villages in the coming days.
