Built

We have previously taken a good look back at 2024 and the mountain of blessings Global Baptist Training Foundation experienced.   So much has been built: thousands trained last year, 88 national trainers, 455 churches plants through GBTF-trained pastors,  about 50,000 coming to faith in Christ, about one half of those baptized and many more in baptism preparation.   But we want to look ahead!

Building

In 2025, we have 314 new churches that have begun with more planned to start later in the year.   Here is a chart of what is building across Africa in 2025.

Finally – Buildings

The building in Ethiopia that collapsed in heavy rain during the rainy season is now nearing completion thanks to a generous GBTF donor!  Here is the collapsed building, the building in progress, and the final stage with a hard stucco applied to keep this building from collapsing again. 

In January, Fidele Shinga, GBTF Africa Director, was able to attend the dedication of a beautiful building in Guinea built with a GBTF partner.  This is the first Bible preaching church anyone remembers in more than a generation!  Make sure you watch the videos below!!

Finally, our GBTF partners are building a building for a GBTF church plant in South Sudan.   This is another restricted access country where nationals are doing far and above what outsiders could accomplish.    The building is nearing complete with just finishing touches and concrete flooring left.
