04/10/25 Urgent Need

The ongoing civil war in the Democratic Republic of Congo has once again come to the doorstep of our Global Baptist Training Foundation family.   One of our trainers, who is also planting a church, fell in the crossfire between the Congolese government soldiers and the rebel militia.  A bomb landed on the house of our trainer. We are withholding names and locations for safety.

Our trainer’s wife and three of his five children were pretty severely injured.  We include these pictures with permission to show you the human cost of these political conflicts and the scope of the need.

This family needs immediate help with medical costs which are ongoing and may be for some time.  We also want to help this family either repair their home or relocate if necessary.   That may also mean furnishing a home or replacing the contents of their home that were destroyed.  We are thankful no one was killed, but the family needs immediate assistance to recover from this tragedy.

We have previously had to relocate (out of the country) another of our trainers from Congo, along with his family, who was in imminent danger politically.  This family is safe and GBTF continues to provide for all of their needs.

Please pray for the family affected by this bombing as they recover physically and emotionally.   If you feel led to help this family, all donations designated for Congo Trainer will go directly, as always, to this cause.   You can visit www.globaltrain.org and designate the funds in the memo section.

We will update you as we get prognoses on the injured family members.
