04/20/25 Lots of Good News!

We are thrilled to report that our trainer’s family whose house was hit by a bomb in the crossfire of the civil war in the DRC (Congo) are beginning to leave the hospital.  These pictures are in the hospital and will show the conditions there!   The hospital would not allow any of them to be discharged until their entire bill was paid.  We had almost exactly the amount of donations needed to cover their medical bills!   The really good news is that the daughter’s sight will not be lost as initially thought!   Please continue to uplift this family as they rebuild their lives.

We are also sharing that the church building for one of our GBTF church plants in South Sudan is now complete!   They were able to worship in this building for Easter!  Pastor Samuel is one of our GBTF trainers as well as a church planter.  He was recently on a bus that was robbed by rebels.  They took his cell phone that had been provided by GBTF.  His cash was in the pages of his Bible, and they did not take his Bible!!  We will provide Samuel with a new phone in August!

The one thing this building lacked was water!   One of our donors is giving to see three wells built on church property over the next 9-12 months.  This church will provide water to 7 surrounding villages with a total of 25,000 people.  While they provide physical water, they will have opportunity to share the living water that completely satisfies.  This work in South Sudan is a beacon of hope amidst the despair of civil war and refugee status that surrounds them!   Pastor Samuel is also providing clothes for these villages thanks to one of our supporting churches with a burden for this ministry!
