01/24/26 Mozambique

We have received reports from our trainers and church planters in Mozambique. Many exciting things are happening – new churches, many are coming to faith in Christ and being baptized.

The southern part of Mozambique, however, is experiencing devastating floods.   Just tonight we received word that one of our trainers in that area drowned in the flooding.   In addition to that, one of the churches was washed away.  The roads are devastated and impassable.  We have included the few pictures we have at present as well as a video of our host pastor in Mozambique trying to arrange housing for as many as 150 people who are unable to travel home because the police have closed the roads.

This picture of the road is the thoroughfare from Maputo, the capital city, to Manyisa where our GBTF class was to be held this week.  There is no public or private transportation allowed.  Fidele Shinga, GBTF Continent Director, was scheduled to be in Manyisa to train a large group of pastors. This class has been postponed until May.

We will let our donors know what we can do to help financially, but, for now, we wanted to ask everyone to pray for our brothers and sisters in Mozambique!
