02/25/26 Classes and Bibles

We ask for your prayer for a fundraiser being held Friday and Saturday of this week that will raise funding for Bibles for Africa. Generous GBTF donors have donated a huge houseful of a collector’s inventory. With the help of Grace’s amazing Bible study group of ladies, we will be selling a garage full of merchandise to buy more Bibles for African new believers. We were able to send about $ 40,000 last year to purchase Bibles. With over 108,000 new believers in just 2025 alone through the GBTF network, there are still many new believers who do not own a Bible!

The work of training nationals to train nationals continues in full force. Today’s highlights are classes in Eastern Rwanda and in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). These two classes combined had over 100 pastors and church leaders who are receiving college-level theological training. These 100 will go on to train their churches with what they are learning. They take home all of the class information in their language for the express purpose of passing it on. Many will plant new churches as a result of this training. We have seen it happen in each class taught around the world. Many will also become trainers who will train hundreds of others. The DRC class is taught by Jackson Katebera, GBTF DRC Coordinator. This is a brand new class in the city of Goma. They are studying Hermeneutics (Interpretation of Scripture) which is the first of fifteen courses in the GBTF curriculum.
The Eastern Rwanda class is taught by Jonathan Bimenyimana. He is teaching Pastoral Administration and Church Leadership.
